I had a ZMF Atticus back in the day and liked the natural, musical sound to it. Despite being a "warmer" headphone in the ZMF lineup, it just didn't hit as hard as my Fostex TH-900. When I read early reviews about the ZMF Bokeh being comparable to -- and/or better than -- the Fostex TH-900, I jumped on a launch set. Got them, listened to them. Liked them (a lot) -- but I can already tell that the TH-900 is still going to get the dominant head time. FWIW, I didn't even burn them in or pad swap to the extra pads I bought or try the tuning kits. My "receipts" included. After giving it a short whirl, they either sat on my handcrafted headphone stands and/or back in the box next to my bed, not getting the love they deserve. Read the reviews -- they're amazing cans, but I can't justify having two $1,000+ headphones for as little as I listen to music.

These were a late batch from the launch kit -- then I had to wait like three months. The price shown is what I paid -- which was $100 off what they go for now. So buying these new would be ~$1200 ... and no wait. :)

I have loads of feedback here as well as AV Exchange (~40 by the same username) and 1185 on E-bay at 100% with the username that matches MY name -- jasonmschoellen.

Hello I have a question, based on what you just said. As a fellow owner of a Lawton TH900, is it safe to assume I should skip this then?

Otherwise the wood looks gorgeous, good luck with the sale! :relaxed:

If you're the kind of person who likes different flavors and are in "different moods" for "different headphones", I won't talk you out of it. But if you have a TH900 and are enamored with it, then yeah, I wouldn't make the movie.

And thanks. It sold already. :)

Zach/ZMF make some amazing gear -- both aesthetically and sonically.

I'll be honest, I'm the kind of guy who only listen to 1 end game headphone and try not to rotate between headphones LOL.

So based on what you said I most likely should stick to my Lawton TH900.

Congrats!

And as you said, ZMF makes great gear! Maybe one day when I have more disposable income then I'll still give it a try.

Cheers!
