I also used the word fun to describe the Liric 2 when I compared these two headphones at CanJam. I also liked the Liric's design, the look and headband adjusting mechanism. But I preferred the more accurate and smooth sound of the E3 and its bigger ear cups. I thought it would be less fatiguing...

The screen protector has a pretty unique shape. Can it be purchased separately in case an extra one is needed?

I think you were probably referring to Ibasso DAPs with the dual OS support. I can understand why people might prefer a non Android OS for various reasons. But all things considered, I just don't think such a DAP would be very versatile and future proof.

I also don't understand sharp corners design decisions. I would prefer Android. I fail to see how some in-house made system could be better.

Can you listen to Easy On Me by Adele? People report it has harsh notes when listening with the new Emperyan II headphone for example. So I wonder how the XTC 2.5 handles it with different tunings.

I tried both types of cups, fully closed and semi open. But the sound was noticeably better without the cups to my ears. When I ordered the SE, I didn't even consider the cups at all. But maybe it's not a bad idea to find the foam material @HardstyleLoco96 used in his experiments and play around...

Not everyone can have speakers while craving the speakers kind of experience. I understand headphones cannot replace speakers. But I guess some headphones are closer to speakers than others.

Interesting DAP. But with its razor sharp corners, it requires a case to avoid injury and be more pocket friendly.
