No well defined way exists to detect a concrete DAC model through USB. It depends on DAC manufacturer if two similar models are distinguishable through USB.

Here you can see details about 44.1k to DSD512 conversion on my notebook HP ZBook G8: CPU i7-11850H max. 47W and GPU A2000 max. 24W. Of course it depends on particular hardware. No DSD1024 but I also don't have such a goal. My current DAC has a sweetspot at DSD256.

Make sure WASAPI output is set in Tidal app. VAC allows to define a range of input sample rates, but WASAPI doesn't allow automated switching of input sample rate in HQPlayer. So you need to adapt the input rate in HQPlayer according to source content rate. VAC contaions simple upsampling...

You can use the same filter for 1x and Nx settings. I'm not sure if you already tried HQPlayer Client. It allows to switch filters and modulators on the fly (so the same track continues to play).
