Can I connect a TRS male output to a TRRS female input?

TL;DR: I have a headphone that takes only 2.5mm TRRS/4-Pole input. I would like to connect a 3.5mm TRS/3-Pole output to it, but this adapter is the closest thing I could find and it has a 3.5mm TRRS/4-Pole input. Will connecting a TRS output to a TRRS input work? I recently received a Fostex...

    Fostex T50RP 50th Anniversary Edition

Hey everyone Just popping in to post the T50-50 that I just received. Got it to replace my old T50Mk3, it was detereorating and due for a replacement. All in all, really satisfied with it so far. Aesthetically, it looks better in person. It's like an amalgamation of each of the best parts...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

As attractive as the price may be, I think you may want to be skeptical first. Typically for these indiegogo products, the products that get shipped out are basically "beta" products. They have lots of quirks about them that will be fixed months after initial release. The early bird price cut is...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Does anyone know the general reliability of Soundcore's earphones? They're pretty popular brands afaik - or at least has gotten popular as of late - but do wonder if they are sketchy. (I'm planning to get the Spirit X2 for its long life, earhook and waterproofing)

True Wireless, long single-charge life, under $80 for Workout: Spirit X2?

Ah, I see. A good suggestion, but I'm afraid that goes over the budget as in Amazon, it's $89 (my maximum is $80). Thanks though, it'll still be one that I'll consider.

True Wireless, long single-charge life, under $80 for Workout: Spirit X2?

Ah, thanks for the link! I'll take a look at it. Oh, and about the specs, - the life should be 7+ hours (if possible) - Waterproofing definitely necessary - ANC and Transparency not needed - No real fit issues. Though, I would want it to hold on to my ears.

True Wireless, long single-charge life, under $80 for Workout: Spirit X2?

I have a pretty simple question about an earphone. So I'm looking for a true wireless earphone with long battery life (without recharging in the dock), under $80 and stable enough for working out. I'm not willing to spend more because... well, I've had three separate earphones for working out...

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

I think I noticed the price of the AP80 dropping by about 10 dollars. I have a feeling that a new device will be coming soon!

Good DAP alternatives to the Shanling m0? (with similar output power)

I've owned a Shanling m0 for quite some time, and found myself hating the it quite a bit. Terrible accessories, fragile and poorly protected knob, relatively short battery life, etc. I'm looking for alternatives to the m0 that has a more diverse set of accessories and features. So far, the...

AP80 - Hidizs next portable Hi-Res music player

Also, might a future revision of this player come? It's been a while since its release now, and it could use some minor improvements. BT 5.0, higher battery capacity maybe, etc. You could call it the AP81, maybe!

Do you think the Shanling m0 has any notable competitors yet?

Honestly, the only better alternative you could buy right now is the AP80. Has almost the same feature set as the FiiO M5 (I think) and has the same powerful DAC/AMP combo that powers the m0. But... I noticed that its price rose by about $30 based on a review that listed it as $115 before. So...

Do you think the Shanling m0 has any notable competitors yet?

Well, since you're here, I guess I might as well give you my two cents in your search: Don't expect a DAP to last for too long. Expect to replace it every few years (~2-4 years). DAP technology is the kind of stuff that tends to progress rather quickly. Higher end features continue to get pushed...

What do you like more about the AP80? Both systems have identical DAC/AMP chips.

Do you think the Shanling m0 has any notable competitors yet?

I've looked it up, and it turns out that the DAC and AMP used in the Hidizs AP80 is identical to the Shanling M0. Outside a slightly larger battery, larger screen, step counter and an FM Radio, they're both completely identical. Though, I've heard of issues regarding Hidizs' quality control...

[FiiO M5] Compact and Versatile Hi-Res Music Player

Would anyone consider this player capable of powering a Fostex T50RP? I have a Shanling m0 and it seems to play a moderate volume at about 80%. Wondering if this DAP can compare with the Shanling in terms of power output.

    FIIO M5

I think one thing about this player that makes it somewhat inferior to the Shanling m0 is its lower power output. While the m0 can output at 70mW @ 32Ohms, the M5 can do around 60mW @ 16Ohms (according to the spec sheet of the AK chip). Not sure what other important features the Fiio has over...

Do you think the Shanling m0 has any notable competitors yet?

Intro: So, I've had the Shanling m0 for some time. While the player is kinda good at what it does, its accessories leave a lot to be desired (until recently at least with the armband). A leather case that offers no protection to the knob and top corners, and a flimsy plastic case with a very...

Fostex T50RP Incremental Mods and Measurements

I have an idea for a simple mod for the T50RP MK3, but I'm not sure what to expect. I plan to: Replace the earpad with a velour one and cover all the baffle ports. Instead of sliding the earpad's lip into the slip, I'll just mount the earpad around the hole to cover the baffles entirely. If I...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

@Shanling Sorry but I think the problem returned again. However, I found out that it only happens when I use a bluetooth headset. The tracks fade in and the end is slightly cut out when I listen to music through a bluetooth headset. I checked and saw that this headphone doesn't do this with any...

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

Weird... Suddenly, everything went back to normal with or without Gapless on. Songs no longer fade in and out, and the end of each track is no longer cut out. Gapless works practically perfectly now. Strange. Was there a setting I changed that i'm not aware of?

    Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

I notice that when I play music, the music always fades in and the end of the song is cut out for some reason. This gets annoying, as some of my songs have a great end to them :S Is there a solution to these problems? No screen protector, sadly. Probably because the player uses a curved...
