HiBy RS2: dual card slots, Darwin R2R, FIR, NOS, MQA 8x--news and impressions thread
If you are an old "non streamer" and looking for a DAP with 2x micro SD for storing large volume - this is a great choice in my book. Annoying at times to only use folder view (with large library) but you get used to it. I paid AUD$699 brand new and no regrets. That may have been me?- somnarium

I love the smooth and rich sound of the N8. My only CIEM. Was disappointed with the original faceplate design so recently shelled out for a change... I guess looks do matter for me as well 😊- somnarium

FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More
First of all, love my scarlet mini's for a unique flavour. Nice fit as well for me. Unfortunately, my experience is soured by the ongoing lack of customer service others are experiencing. @Sebastien Chiu - I am not 100% sure what your role mandate is, but perhaps you can provide everyone with...- somnarium

HiBy RS8 flagship Darwin R2R Android DAP -- Class A -- news and impressions thread
I had issues with a couple of Eros S cables where the 4.4 jack was loose/spinning. This caused issues with sound cutting in and out. Unfortunately I had to return them. Everything else was great. Perhaps there was a batch with issues? My supplier was shocked though so it sounded like an...- somnarium

Elysian Annihilator 2023
It's a great cable but the bulky connector is an annoying inconvenience. Cool design but adds a dimension of complexity when looking at compatibility with various DAP's and cases.- somnarium

Campfire Chat - Official Campfire Audio 2024 Thread!
A couple of questions for Campfire. To satisfy my curiosity only and not trying to stir anything... 1. Burn in - does CA believe in this, and/or conduct any pre burn in prior to packaging up for sale. 2. Stock cables - what philosophy is held here by CA, balancing cost and synergy analysis. Local files play gapless fine on my M17. Tested with DSOTM in FLAC. If you are streaming there may be a limitation up the chain. Sorry, I don't stream at all 🙂- somnarium

Assuming you are using Fiio player app, check you have gapless is enabled. Also perhaps check the source files aren't the issue.- somnarium

[FiiO M17] Dual ES9038PRO, dual THXAAA-788+, dual power supplies, 9200mAh battery, 2 volume control modes
Is it a pause/silence or noise? Are you switching between sampling rates? Check Gapless is enabled for former. Noise or pop/crackle could be the DAC chip dealing with different sampling rates by resetting. Fiio have previously mentioned that this problem cannot be totally prevented, unless...- somnarium

HiBy RS2: dual card slots, Darwin R2R, FIR, NOS, MQA 8x--news and impressions thread
Luckily no issues with my unit with the case and buttons. The RS2 is a great DAP for non-streamers. Pros Size - can fit in top shirt pocket easily. But still has a nice "thick" feeling. Dual card slots - those with a large library can load up 2 x 1TB cards Minimal heat - never had a problem...- somnarium
