Hi, I love my various portable DACs, mostly ibassos (including when people ask me why I have such a fat telephone) but I'm sick of the battery running down and needing recharging (usually at the wrong moment!) and would love something to use in the house that runs on AC power -- not a big server, some variation on what I have now, as compact as possible, MicroSd slot, touch screen. Even a portable which can bypass the battery. Thanks.

There's a cure for running out of battery life, the Unihertz Tank has a 22,000ma battery in it. It's so over the top though, the Hummer of wireless phones...

A desktop Topping DX3 Pro+ used for $99 will let you plug the phone into it, or bluetooth as a source for simplicity

Same with the SMSL C200 for $109 used, both come with a 1 year warranty from those sellers.

I've got two C200's and they work great with LDAC using a Google Pixel for a source sometimes. Phone can charge while playing back, so it would simplify things. Also you wouldn't have to move fragile SD cards around.

Thanks, but those are (for) phones, with batteries. I just want a compact home DAC unit with a touchscreen, no battery, I can plug into the wall.

You can look at products from CEntrance and they have the HiFi-M8 (a DAC) and the Ampersand (a headphone power amp), and both devices can be on battery and on AC power if so needed. I have both units ..
