Source and tips.

This example was loaned to me from Brad Thomas's personal collection for audition as a member of Audio Reviews Downunder tour group.

I used my preferred TRN T tips for vocal clarity and soundstage ( Bass is still solid ) and used music in FLAC format on my Hiby R3 Saber DAP

The sound.

JuzearClear has a V shaped sound balance, with boosted bass and highs and theoretically recessed midrange. Having said that it's not the full story with this IEM. This V shaped tuning style has evolved over the last few years and Juzear has refined the tuning to avoid the excesses of boomy bass and harsh and sharp trebles. The bass with the Clear is certainly full and deep with plenty of impact when called for. Its also fast with good decay and does not intrude into the midrange. This allows the midrange room to move and I find the midrange hardly recessed at all. Vocalists are up front and present with great tone. When the big bass kicks in the vocalist is still clear and in space. The soundstage is plenty big with good depth and height. Trebles sing without being to hot. I'm really impressed with the tuning balance on this IEM. Its not a detail monster, it has no downsides as long as you are happy to have a big bass floor to your music. The rest of the frequency range works wonderfully well with a nice 3D space.

You are looking at a musical and enjoyable unit with the Juzear Clear. I challenged it with my most forward and hot recorded singer King Princess from the album Hold on Baby and survived. With some IEMs this album is unlistenable. Ethel Cains complex House in Nebraska sounds fine with the layers of backing and vocals depicted well. Six Blade Knife by Dire Straits is well anchored by the plodding bass and the guitar details fly around Marks vocals. Lose yourself to Dance by Daft Punk has a massive thumping bass drum with a clear funky guitar dancing with the vocals. Very fun. Any EDM tracks have the right energy and clarity.

Juzear Clear is a very surprising IEM for a single DD at the $50 price point. I think this unit surpasses anything from the budget manufacturers. To my ears it's like a Simgot EW200 with max bass added and the hot upper midrange that some people complain about, missing. If this sound profile appeals to you its a strong recommendation.

Introduction:
● Juzear is a newer brand on the market and they made a name for themselves with the release of the 41t to mostly universal praise in 2023. The Clear features a single 10mm LCP dynamic driver. It's currently priced at $49.90, $120 less than the 41t.

Build, fit, ergonomics:
● The Clear are made from a nice blue resin and have an attractive understated design on the face. I was surprised at the size of the shell in person as it's quite small. I can't imagine fit will be an issue for most people, however, those looking for a deep insertion might not find it here. The included cable is one of the best stock cables I've owned and at this price point is surprising. It's a bit thick and nicely braided but not heavy. It also comes with varying sizes of both silicone and foam tips. The small brown zipper case is the cherry on top. Overall, the accessories are great. I did notice a slight driver flex from time to time when adjusting my fit but only if I inserted very deeply. Doesn't seem to affect the sound at all just a small nuisance.

Sound impressions:
● The Juzear Clear is a V-shaped iem with boosted bass and treble. The frequency response is not my prefered signature for everyday use but I do enjoy V-shaped iems in my rotation. The soundstage has plenty of width but seems to lack a bit of depth. Instruments have room to spread but sometimes compete on the same level of the stage. Technicalities are very capable at this price point, no complaints at all. The Clear really shine with rock, rap, and EDM but they still perform well with genres like soft pop, soft rock, and country as long as you don't mind the boosted bass.

●Lows - The star of the show! The sub bass rumble really reaches low. Its not the deepest I've heard but its the best in ths price point by far. The entire bass spectrum has good texture and slam. Their is no detectable bass bleed to my ears. If you're looking for neutral or Harman tuning, you will be overwhelmed by the bass levels. However, if you're looking for a deep rumble and thumping bass, the Clear will please most bassheads.

●Mids - In typical V-shaped fashion, the mids are scooped so they won't be featured as strongly here. The vocals do sound natural and both male and female voices have good weight and texture, just a bit recessed due to the tuning. To my ear, the vocals and mids are well placed and are not actually recessed much in comparison to the rest of the frequency response. I enjoy their presentation and never found myself wishing for a boost in the mids.

●Highs - Treble is elevated to round out the V-shaped profile. It has an energy and excitement that plays well with the boosted bass. Music gets fun and comes to life in the higher frequencies but over time can get a bit fatiguing. I did notice an occasional sibilant quality here but definitely not the worst I've heard. I think the elevated bass goes a long way to making sure the treble stays fun and not shrill. For those that are treble sensitive, you will want to look elsewhere for that big bassy iem that doesn't get as hot in the highs.
1000016111.jpg

●Balanced:
The Clear are easy to drive so using a balanced connection with an amp isnt really necessary. Here i switched the cable to a NiceHCK Jialail JLY2 4.4mm and plugged it into the Hiby FC4. The bass sounds a bit fuller and the sub digs a little deeper with more power. The extra note weight on the bass helps to tame the slight treble peakiness I was picking up before. The sound is more colored and warmer with a bigger fuller bass that seems to bleed more into the midrange. My preference would be to drive them from the 3.5mm connection on the LGV30 or just a simple dongle since the bass was in a better spot without the extra juice.

Summary:
The Juzear Clear is a successful follow up release to their debut 41t. It's v-shaped profile may not be for every listener. If you're looking for big deep bass and treble that doesn't take a back seat, you will find it here. Even though its not tuned to my personal preference, I do enjoy them when I'm in the mood for an energetic listening session. Taking price and accessories into account, the Clear is an easy recommendation if it suits your prefered tuning or for those looking to venture into something new.

JUZEAR is an audio brand that comes from the plains of China, from Shanghai to be precise.
So far this brand, which is not yet widely known in audiophile world, has released its IEM that is quite popular in the outside forum, the JUZEAR 41T.

The IEM I'm going to review is an IEM borrowed from one of my friend on the Private Review Tour.
Whatever I write will be subjective and without any interference from anyone.

To sum it up, the JUZEAR CLEAR is an IEM with a V-shaped sound signature. Not Mild, not U, not Harman, but a pure V-Shape classic with big bass and treble and recessed vocals.

BASS:

Basically, the amount of mid-bass and sub-bass is balanced.
So the bass is textured and meaty.

The bass is huge, with a huge, wide slam effect that will make a basshead eargasm.
It's not that big per se, but it does feel a bit too big for your casual listeners.

But the bass doesn't reach the level of QKZ Khan's subwoofer-like bass, so it's perfect for those who like all-round big slam bass.

MIDRANGE:

The midrange frequency is smooth and meaty.

With a pretty good texture and a natural presentation of vocals.
Although it has to be admitted that the vocals are not the main highlight of this IEM.

There is also a hint of sibilance, but this can be minimised with a tip rolling.

With a pretty meat mid bass, guitar plucks feels satisfying tingly to my ears.
You won't get this kind of sensation from those IEM that lower the mid bass like Truthear Zero.

TREBLE:

A typical V-shape treble with plenty of quantity and air.
Suitable for energetic songs with sparkly and fun cheery tone like Anisong.

The treble might feel a bit peaky here and there but for some extra energy, I wouldn't complain at all.
It balances the bass so you won't hear overwhelming bass because of the treble.

While I admit that some songs will be too peaky, overall this isn't an overly energetic treble.

TECHNICALITY:

The separation of the instrument here blends with the size of the bass, not the type that is analytical but more towards fun that is not too technical.

The soundstage is average, not intimate, simply your everyday Studio-sized room.
The big bass makes it as if the sound of the music is surrounding your head, quite a satisfying feeling I'd say.

Despite this, the depth is quite deep and the layering is excellent.
You can feel the 3D-like sensation from JUZEAR Clear.

The imaging is not disappointing at all,
From a technical point of view, this IEM lives up to its price.
Not hitting above its price range but it does quite up there within the same price range.

COMPARISON:

IKKO OH300: The JUZEAR wins on the quantity and the Textured bass, the OH300 wins on the vocals, which are noticeably more natural. While the treble is slightly different in direction, the JuzEar is more energetic and the OH300 is more relaxed and there is less sparkle on the OH300.

Truthear Zero Blue: The bass is cleaner for the Truthear Zero, but more satisfying in Clear because there's a deep slam on Clear. Vocals are more special for Zero with its minimal sibilance, but I have to give the highs to the more energetic Clear.

FINAL VERDICT

JUZEAR CLEAR is an IEM that is made for a pure fun, enjoyable moment, that you can use whenever and wherever. It can be an alternative choice for both acute bassheads and those who just like big bass.

It also has a good cable, 18AWG 6N single crystal copper, so you don't have to think about changing the cable.
No joke, it feels like an expensive custom cable.
