I'm much more a headphones fan vs IEM ... What are the best pairing headphones that you use with your A&K?

I have Audeze LCD-5 and Sennheiser HD800s, so not the best pairings with the SP3000 due to power restrictions.

So it would be really good to here this groups suggestions and thoughts...

Something easy to drive.

Focal Utopia works reasonably well with the SP3k. As does Stellia (I prefer Utopia). I suspect much of the focal range will be okay

I haven’t heard these in many years (my unit failed as it had a non-removable cable and I lost one side) but Beyerdynamic also have the T5p that is designed for portable use.

I can confirm the Utopia (mine is the OG) pairs well with the SP3000, to my ears :) depending on the DR of the recording, my volume level is usually around 85 to 90, which I think is decent, given the max volume is 150. I am using the balanced output.

I also use the Utopia with the SP3000 and am very happy with it. If I add the PA10 then I also get decent sound from the ZMF VC and Caldera. Other phones to consider would be the AA Composer and to go somewhat further out how about the Erzetich Charybdis?

AA Composer might be worth a look, and it doesn't break the bank compared to the Utopia.
Steering towards closed back option TBH, as I currently don't have one in my arsenal, I've considered ZMF AC and DCA Stealth, but don't think they will be suitable when I want to use with SP3000 alone and without my AMP23R...

Does anybody have any experience with the Sony MDR-Z1R or Fostex TH-900 MK2?

Hi Jason
Thanks for your reply. I was installing it, however I’ve just tried again, this is what I see:
After clicking on Servicrs, I see Qobuz listed as version 7.13.0.0 and when I click on either the words or the download button to the right, the screen shows Qobuz 7.8.0.0, not 7.13.0.0. When I click on the install button, the device shows ‘installing’, then App installed, however its 7.8.0.0 that’s just been installed again.
For Tidal, its the same thing, version 2.98.2 is listed as the latest version, however its version 2.92.0 that is being reinstated.
I haven’t tried a hard reset yet, maybe that would help?
Thanks
